The batch type furnace has a working envelope of  7 ft x 7 ft x 7 ft with two  high temperature roof  mounted fans, and eight vertically mounted gas fired, recuperated, pulse fired burners, with a total BTU gross input of 2,110,000 BTUs per hour.

The max operating temperature is rated at 1850 degrees, with dual carbon controllers, for natural gas, and endo atmosphere with emergency nitrogen purge system.

Furnace insulation consists of high temperature, heavy duty ceramic fiber with combination of IFB for the furnace floor, and heavy duty hard brick piers to support the work load.

The Pneumatically locking door is designed to provide an excellent seal, with assisted water cooling, and a fiber lining.

The furnace instrumentation package is state of the art for accurate temperature control, atmosphere control, recipes, process parameters, and data acquisition.
