Gas Fired Temper Furnace

The gas fired temper furnace is fabricated from mild steel plates, and is reinforced with steel members to form a rigid structure. The case will include an air vent and damper ports.

The furnace will be lined with ceramic fiber modules stud welded to the furnace case. The insulation will be sufficient to maintain a reasonable cold face temperature when operating at normal temperature (The furnace can be designed for a maximum temperature of 1400ºF). Temperature uniformity within the furnace chamber will be accomplished by means of a high volume recirculating fan. The hearth construction consists of two (2) cast alloy roller rails and cast alloy rollers. The roller rails are supported on piers to allow for adequate flow of the heated gases under the work. An air operated vertical lift furnace door, lined with insulation is provided on the front of the furnace. The door when closed will rest in wedge type brackets to provide a seal between the furnace and door linings. A manual valve is provided to operate the door cylinder.
